Unbound Now was grateful to partner with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to prevent trafficking and increase victim identification before and during the 2024 Olympic Games.
In March 2024, Unbound Now staff and law enforcement officials traveled to France to equip community members to both avoid trafficking risks and help victims make safe and effective outcries.
Equipping youth to stay safe from human trafficking is one of Unbound Now’s three priority lanes of effort.
Since the beginning of our work in March 2022, we have hosted prevention education sessions in refugee reception centers, border crossings, churches, and community groups.
Most recently, with the support of a grant from DoTerra Healing Hands Foundation, our staff have provided education for girls in juvenile detention centers who face high risks of being trafficked. Here is what the students shared:
“I thought slavery was a problem of the past. I didn’t know people could be victims of human trafficking today.”
“The most important thing I learned today is that what someone does to us cannot change our value.”
Whether you suspect someone you know is being trafficked or you think you may be a victim of human trafficking, please email us. We can connect you with the right resources to take next steps.
Our team provided services for these victims and has advanced criminal justice case building against their perpetrators.
Our team of Polish and Ukrainian staff and volunteers has led 218 refugees through our comprehensive human trafficking prevention program and trained 598 community members and 65 law enforcement professionals in how to keep others safe from trafficking.
