“I will never forget the time we met two teenage girls, who were going to China to “work.” Someone had paid their travel expenses and was waiting for them on the other side of the border …
This was right before the pandemic – which means it was also right before Mongolia closed its borders. Without the help of Unbound Now identifying human trafficking victims and passengers at risk for trafficking at the Chinggis Khaan International Airport, we don’t know what would have happened.
But we were there.
And that’s why we do what we do: to be there in the moment that could change someone’s life forever. Sometimes it’s being the first friendly face a victim sees when recovered on a sting in Houston, Texas and sometimes it’s being trained and equipped to respond when passengers traveling through a busy international airport in Mongolia present all the warning signs of someone headed to an exploitative situation.
I invite you to watch the video above (and linked here) where you will hear testimonies of Unbound Now’s intervention in dangerous trafficking situations around the world.
My encouragement to each of us is this: God is moving. Every day in every nation of the Earth. And we are so honored to be used by Him in any way to see men, women, and children restored to freedom. There is much work to be done, but let your heart live in hope as we continue on.
