Tackling Human Trafficking at the Super Bowl

The Super Bowl and other major sporting events often facilitate increased commercial sexual exploitation. However, when leaders come together, these events can be an opportunity to champion freedom for many.

The Louisiana Governor’s Office of Human Trafficking Prevention, Unbound Now, and other state and local agencies have been diligently preparing for Super Bowl LIX.

In the video linked above, you’ll find a PSA, parts of which were filmed at the New Orleans’ Saints practice facility.

As you may know, since 2023, Unbound Now has been funded by the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services to provide 24/7 crisis response and on-going case management to youth victims of human trafficking. Over the past two years, we’ve witnessed both unspeakable pain and hard-fought healing. Our 13 full time staff across the New Orleans and Baton Rouges areas serve alongside a devoted team of law enforcement and prosecutors.

As the Super Bowl approaches, we will lean on the strength of these relationships to intervene and provide critical care for survivors.

Today, would you join us in praying for many individuals to be recovered out of trafficking in advance of, during, and after the Super Bowl? We are praying for safety and effectiveness for all partner agencies, investigators, and Unbound Now Louisiana advocates.

We are grateful to stand with you in the fight against human trafficking.
