Law Enforcement

You have the ability to identify victims of human trafficking in your community and to know how to respond with confidence.

The 2023 Trafficking in Persons Report published by the U.S. Department of State reveals that only 115,324 victims were identified last year by global governments and law enforcement.

This means that less than half of one percent of the estimated victims worldwide are being identified.

As the Atlantic Council has commented, “with 99.6% percent of victims remaining trapped by their traffickers, unable to decide where they work or who touches their bodies,” something must change.
