An important update from Susan

As we usher in a new year, I can say with confidence that I am more excited than ever for what lies ahead. It is both an honor and privilege to share some significant news about the future of Unbound Now with you, our global community today.

Reflecting on almost 12 years of leadership at Unbound Now, I am profoundly grateful for the journey we have shared. From our humble beginnings to the impressive impact we create today, each moment has been a testament to the faithfulness of God. He is the one who called us to this work and He has been faithful to grow it to touch thousands of lives.

I am thrilled to announce a transformative change in leadership for our organization. After careful consideration and prayer, the Unbound Now board has approved the appointment of Brian Anderson as the new CEO of Unbound Now. This decision comes as part of a broader transition, wherein I am excited to step into the role of Founder and Chief Advisor.

This change is a strategic move forward for Unbound Now. Brian has been a steadfast champion and partner of ours since 2018, demonstrating his commitment through various capacities, including leading the development of Unbound Now’s strategic plan. In many seasons he has offered up his gifts and experience to better our work, and we have all been blessed by his service.

During a short sabbatical this Fall, the board approved my request to have Brian serve as Interim CEO. Witnessing his remarkable leadership during this time has affirmed that Brian is the ideal person to guide Unbound Now into its next chapter.

In my new role as Founder and Chief Advisor, I am committed to remaining integral to the strategic guidance and external representation of Unbound Now. I will continue to champion the organization’s mission, maintain a significant presence in key strategic decisions, and promote our Christ-centered practice in our work.

Brian Anderson brings a wealth of experience, passion, and a deep commitment to our cause. Brian is known widely as a strategic thinker, redemptive capability builder, leader, private equity professional, United States Veteran, and follower of Christ. But his friends, family, and peers will tell you that as impressive as he is on paper, it’s his character and devotion to Jesus that draw others to his leadership. His journey, from serving as an EOD Officer for over 10 years to pursuing strategic business skills at the Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management, reflects a dedication to eradicating evil and creating a world where all have the opportunity to flourish.

I have complete confidence that Brian’s leadership will elevate the spirit and effectiveness of Unbound Now. His official transition from Interim CEO to CEO will take place in January 2024, and I am expectant about the future of our work under his trustworthy guidance.

As I step into this new role, I am excited to continue developing organizational strategy, hiring capable individuals, building out our board, fostering spiritual fervor, and building strong relationships with our partners. My passion for the work of Unbound Now remains steadfast, and I am committed to ensuring that Unbound Now continues to thrive and make a meaningful impact for Jesus long into the future.

To our partners and supporters, thank you for your commitment through this season of transition. Your dedication has been the backbone of our success. As we embrace these changes, I am confident that Unbound Now is in capable hands with Brian at the helm. I believe God has anointed and appointed him for this work. His leadership, combined with the continued dedication of our amazing teams around the world, will undoubtedly propel Unbound Now to new heights.

In closing, I leave you with a scripture that has guided my work all my life, and I carry it close to my heart now: “Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” (1 Corinthians 10:31)

Thank you for your unwavering support and commitment to the mission of Unbound Now.

With great hope,
