College Station, TX
UnBound College Station is activating the local community to fight human trafficking through collaborative efforts.
Bryan/College Station is a prime target for sex trafficking because it is located in the center of the Texas Triangle. The Texas Triangle, which runs between Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio is the most heavily trafficked route in all of Texas. As we speak, individuals are being transported in and out of Bryan/College Station for the purposes of trafficking. Through unity and partnership within our city, UnBound focuses our efforts through prevention and awareness, professional training, and survivor advocacy.
Prevention & Awareness
The statistics show that only a small percentage of trafficking victims are rescued. Therefore, it is our hope that through prevention and awareness we can prevent someone from ever becoming a victim.
In the United States, the average age of entry into trafficking is 12-14 years old. UnBound College Station works with at-risk youth in Brazos County Juvenile Detention Center. During these sessions we speak value into their lives, give tools for good decision making and speak about the vulnerabilities that traffickers look for. Please contact us for more info about our juvenile detention outreaches.
UnBound provides professional training to elected officials, lawyers, medical professionals, educators, businesses, staff of hotel/motels, and more to equip all professionals to use their specific skill set to identify and serve victims of human trafficking. Please contact us for more information about our professional trainings.
UnBound advocates for survivors by providing for immediate needs and volunteering services to help each survivor through his or her unique restoration process.
